A Recycling high technologically is the basis for a sustainable development and Circular Economy

The expression "the trash is gold" is not a metaphor. It is a reality! It is our obligation to reuse!

James Lovelock, the originator of the Gaia theory, is one of the most renowned ecologists today. In his book: "the Revenge of Gaia", defends the thesis that, in the current world economic model, sustainable development is impossible. In his opinion, would have to stop to develop, grow and that we would have to regress in consumption, given that the planet does not support more the human industrial activity. It is impossible, he said, have a balance of sustainability with the current levels of activity and consumption.

This is a controversial topic for which there is no consensus.

The planet does not speak, but expresses itself.

While a new paradigm for the future is established, we should act with awareness of the problem. Each of us must see that, if we are not part of the solution, at least if we're not part of the problem.

No one doubts or questions the need to adapt business and human activities to have the lowest environmental impact. However, how to do this without spending money? Or better yet, as industrial recycling process and still profit from it?

The concept of SUSTAINABILITY implies a cyclic process of exploitation of natural resources. This applies of course to our products, you have to stay in use for the longest period of time possible, including its components, until they get to obsolescence, so being transformed again in durable products. This process begins with the production residues.

This virtuous cycle, if properly implemented, will allow the natural resources extracted from the planet remain being used numerous times with minimal waste.

Looking from this angle, we have two good business opportunities.

The first is considering production residues as raw material for other durable product.

The second is planning our product so that its components, similarly, become the raw material for another durable product, when the first is thrown.

It's not easy! But that is our challenge, make it possible and feasible. The D&D has 40 years of experience in the business.

Nowadays it is relatively easy to transform a lot of soda bottles into raw material for various other applications, after all it is a mixture mainly of PET (high quality Polymer) contaminated with small amount of PP, PE adhesive label and remains of the content.

This explains the high rates of recycling of this product, 60% in Brazil. In Japan this index reaches 80%.

But, when it comes to mixtures of several very different components such as polymers, fibers, wood, fabric scraps, minerals, etc., the situation gets complicated. But complicated does not impossible.

This usually is the case of many industries, or are these the waste left over after recycling separate easier. As well as "not everything that glitters is gold" can mean "not all garbage is waste". Sometimes in difficulty we found the opportunity!!!

These elements that seem, at first, incompatible. Together, the mechanical and chemical properties of the final product are inadequate. But exactly what appears to be the problem, could be hiding the solution.

At this point enter the experience and knowledge to find, within this mixture of elements, the points in common that could make these elements become sympathetic and, from there, if you obtain a product with mechanical and chemical properties with noble long-term applications.

As shown at the beginning of this page, we created a structural profile with excellent properties from various environmental liabilities of the client region. Many products can be developed from the "TRASH".

These products find wide application in construction, helping to solve the housing shortage in the world. The opportunities are limitless!

But it is essential to apply advanced technology and combinations of different technologies to achieve a product of performance and durability, otherwise the product will be more a disposable element, in the way of sustainability!

The D&D has extensive experience in developing opportunities with materials contaminated or mixed.

Contact D&D, we can find a big business where your company has a big problem!
